Invisible Aircraft online

Been having a bit of trouble, and was wondering if anyone here knew the solution.

Playing IL2 4.9 online with my brother, and we're finding that it often turns out the one of us is invisible to every one else. We're not on the same internet connection, and not even in the same country, but it can be either one of us who's invisible to the other and everyone else. Sometimes it doesn't happen for ages, other times it'll happen all the time. We've tried quitting and coming back in, but that doesn't solve anything. Tried multiple different aircraft, airbases, markings, servers (that sometimes solves it, other times it doesn't). We're both running without firewalls etc. and using hyperlobby to connect.

Anyone had this problem and/or know how to solve it?

It'd be great if they do. Also, aside from invisibility, weapons don't do damage to other players etc. almost like you're not there. Also makes me wonder if there are people having this problem who are unaware of it because they're not in contact with one another.

As far as i know it has to do with markings, u can be/are inviseble to others if u use other than stock markings (mods). Same with damage, if u are inviseble u cant shoot anyone down, only jam thire guns, as far as i know. Only use markings stated in the mission breifs or stick with USAF/USN/RAF/USSSR/German/IJA/IJN if on a turn and burn WW server.

Would have to ask my brother about him, but I know that's not the case with me. Happened when I was using the stock Luftwaffe markings in a Luftwaffe vs USAAF game. It more often happens to him than me though, so will check up. Perhaps that might be it. But it happens playing the game without mods anyway. Happened a lot when I used to fly with Finnish Airforce markings, so much that I had to stop doing it, which made it go away for a while, but now it's come back again.

Are now, but only recently started and this problem dates back from before we'd even considered using mods (it was only because every server that we played and was decently populated used them that we took them up). Like I said, used to happen a lot with FAF markings, and that was pre-mod. Seems to happen to my brother at random though. I had figured that it might be markings so have tried chaning to all of the default airforces to make it go away, and it doesn't change anything.
