Hi i have a very strange problem :

I install couple of days Men of war.
During 4 days i didn't shut down my computer
I didn't installed any software
each day i played men of war single campains with no problem !
It means, i've quit then launch the game several times.

Yesterday i shutted down my computer

And today i can't launch the game anymore :

[0x52c27f][EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION][noncontinuable1]
>>main
>screen:set_mode

Men Of War - v1.022.1 - standard
2009.01..22 09:14 - 0x00000000

I'm on Seven 32bits
Directx9c (June 2009)
On first launch, i used to set 1920x1080 all detail antialiasing and so on to FULL. (then as i said i launch the game several times the game with no problem until i reboot my pc)

Desesperate, I've also reinstalled the game by taking care to fully erase the game folder, also erase My Document\My Games\Men of War folder.

but no way i still have this problem.

Please help !

Thanks

Thanks for your answer.

Well i finnaly fixed the problem, by forcing the game to "XP Service Pack 3" compatibility. I'm suspecting that it used to decide suddently to use DirectX11 and that now it use DirectX 9 with my solution...

Anyway i'll try the patch, hoping it is compatible with Metaboli Release...

EDIT : Well as i feared, patch installer says that game is not installed :(

I think that datas are not filled well into windows registry ; May Someone please, have a look with regedit, and search "Men Of War" into:
"Local Machine/Software" and "Current User/Software". You will probably find a Key like this :
"Local Machine/Software/1C Publishing/Install Dir" => "C:\Program Files\blablabla"

Please give me the path of this key, so i'll be able to install the patch. Thanks !

you can extract all files from patch with Universal Extractor (http://legroom.net/software/uniextract) and copy extracted files manualy to Men of War folder.

here are my windows registry entries:

Thank you very much !
I didn't know Universal Extractor, i think i'm going to love it !

About Reg Keys, you gived me the classic Windows uninstall ones (whitch makes software appearing into "add/remove program" of config panel). i don't thinks that patch installer uses it.

Anyway, universal extractor will hopefully give me what i need. Thanks again !
