Yeah, Triada offers pathetic resistance due to the fact all their flights only have 1-2 ships as opposed to 4-6 ships that other factions have.

Better is make trip to Zebos, there you can get equipment mostly for whole game play.

Getting to Zebos requires blasting through Inoco blockades, or progressing far enough into the story where the hyperspace portals become active (and only in certain storylines... I dont think the portals ever go active in the NESF or MSF mission lines)

In NESF are active, but only after some decision in first mission. In all paths you can get informations about this portals.

***spoiler***
In Endoria 1 you need take the short route and help traders. After this you will get email from them with information about portals.

Can we increase this? For a faction which supposedly has crap fighters which rely on numbers rather than good gear/skill, they're pretty much bottom-of-the-barrel.

You can try this method (http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showpost.php?p=159784&postcount=65) (look for NewTriadaFlight) but effect depends of their ships table.

Actually their gear/skill is actually pretty good, the story specifically states that the Triada's weakness is that they work more as a pack of individuals then as a team, which is the canon explination for the 1-2 man fighter groups. The problem with this, however, is that the developers never increased the number of Triada flights to compensate for this. Triada should have had 3 flights of 2 fighters each to equal the other faction's 6-fighter flights, but they do not, which is why they are so few in number.

You must be thinking of pirates with the 'Crap fighters which rely on numbers' bit.

Ah yes, I knew something felt off. Got them mixed, sorry.

I don't suppose increasing their presence is as easy as adjusting a value somewhere? Once for each system, perhaps?
