You mean pilots which can join you? I don't have such a list but check which pilot have his own perk tree. Most of them can join you under certain circumstances.

The pilots which can join you in SW3 depends on which storyline path you take. Personally I like it, it ups the replayability, even though sometimes I wish I had certain specific pilots with me, heh.

Each storyline path gives them to you automatically, we don't really get a choice.

Edit:
To repeat what Nanaki and Vaynark said, here are the pilots in rough order of appearance and divided by which story path. Naturally, HUGE SPOILERS WARNING, but you'd know this already if you're reading this thread...

Main pilots (you get a chance at these pilots no matter what)
Hero
Ternie
Greyhair
Joseph
Kalem

// You can actually miss Joseph if, at the start of the Precursor mission arc, you meet Phantom/Heretic right away in X203 instead of detouring to talk to Joseph. You also need to admit to Joseph that you're looking for a Precursor portal - if you just say you want a guide, he'll turn you down. In most paths he is the only pilot with Alien technology adaptation skill, which allows you to mount those alien blaster light guns (iirc the only other pilot is Jana, whom you meet in the InoCo path).

MSF storyline
Vladimir "Validol" Bykov
Major Tasha Viper
Admiral Trump

// Admiral Trump only joins if you don't side with Viper when the decision comes up. You can't miss it, it's one of those "choose him or me" dialog choices.

NESF storyline
Che
Lieutenant Alexandra Sukhova

// I'm not clear at which point do you get to change your mind on this NESF path.

Triada storyline
Ethan Fry
Aja Shumov
Alice Grant
Blade

// Ethan Fry is actually just an ally. I normally wouldn't list him since I don't list other allies (Heretic, Phantom), except for the fact that - for a very short while - his character portrait is viewable on your mothership as a pilot. He's got no skill tree though and you can't assign a ship to him. I don't know why the game even allows you to view him (see attached screenshot).
// You only get Blade if you decide not to help Aja on her final mission (she and Alice will leave).

InoCo storyline
Jana
SAM copies (yes, multiple)

// If you side with SAM at the final decision point, you lose everyone except Jana, and at a station SAM will allow you to add as many SAM copies as you want. They come in 3 flavours: gunners, missilers, system specialists. For some strange reason the system specialist I picked used SAM's actual portrait instead of a SAM copy. This path is also where the plot actually kills one of your pilots.

Alex storyline
Alex Koshevoy
Nataly
Cleric

-
In each storyline path you get at least one chance to back out. In the corporation storyline this usually moves you to the Alex path; I'm not too sure about the MSF/NESF paths. For example on the MSF path you can decide whether to go with Viper or Admiral Trump but if I'm not mistaken those are still both MSF paths.

You don't always end up with 6 pilots either, that's why - if you count - the pilot totals doesn't always equals 6 in every storyline. Minimum is 4 I think, in the InoCo storyline: side with SAM and you end up with the Hero, Jana, 2 SAM copies you get early on... and you don't take up SAM's offer to add more SAM copies.

Edit: Thanks to Hal2003 for the corrections.

Validol is not optional, without him you will not get the cargo from Dombas.

And you forgot at Alex line:
Nataly

And another mistake if you decide not help Aja you will be at Alex path.
Blade will join only after some decision in mission with Aja.

You can assign ships to him, just that hes only capable of flying up to 3rd generation ships.

Ah, I must've tried putting him inside a Gunslinger and forgotten why the game didn't let me. He was Hero's classmate and they seemed to be on good terms so I figured why not give him a nice ship. Well, that and I admit I thought sucking up to him would be a prerequisite for getting on a USS story path :-P
