Attacking

Is there anyway to attack clyde, roger etc.. without waiting for the attack to start ? As in throwing a grenade, (or a gun) I mean - without the cut-scene sequence that triggers the attack to start ?

I hope ive been clear.

(Also - how do i target the gerbils ? To get the skins For Blackie ?)

I feel such a fool ! I found it out by re-loading just before entering the gerbils hangout - press CTRL + L click.

Thats what comes from not reading the controls n stuff !!

Right, now that I have found how to attack without the scripted events, ive pressed f1, to see if theres any way i can disengage attack mode - but there doesnt seem to be a way. Can anyone help with this please ? I know that i have to kill all the enemies in red (on mimimap) but at the bank, ive killed everyone there, and im stuck in attack mode, unable to get to the main map, or even rest, or nothing.
