How do you reset the text missions

I know somewhere a long time ago i read there was an easy way to reset the text missions but now I can't figure it out/find the instructions. I haven't played in nearly 1.5 years so i thought i would start a new game; but i wanted the chance to redo the text missions (hopefully i've forgotten most of them).

In case it is not clear; I want to start a new game and reset things so I can redo all the text quests. I know there is a file somewhere that can be tweaked or deleted but no clue which one.

Btw there is a high resolution hack for the game; but it appears to only work with the russian version...
