I think I have the same or at least a similar problem (I'm guessing english isn't your first language). I purchased the game from steam however it has the same problem as mentioned. To illiterate:
The game boots, the intro movies show fine. Then the screen will go black, with the occasional flicker of color. I'm just guessing but it almost looks as though it is a messed up vertex buffer. No other game is having this problem.
In addition alt-tabbing out of the program and then back in will show the menu for a brief moment before reverting to the flickering colors. Oh and the music still plays and the buttons on the GUI still work (although I have to guess where they are).
What I've tried:
All drivers are updated.
I'm only running 1 monitor.
Changing the resolution and windowed mode in the game.ini file have no effect.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Edit: Oh and my card is a HD4650 (yes its AGP)

I think installing the earlier AMD driver version should help, since it's obviously an incompatibility between the game and current driver.

Thanks for the help, i ended up changing to a older graphics card (Nvidia) to fix the problem. I will try going back to older drivers another time, right now I'm just going to enjoy the game :D

turn down your anisotropic and your antialising in your card option, and you game options, and turn off auto AI in your ati control center, un 3d. most games do not support this. in control center turn anti, anistropic to let programs decide. on ati or nvidia, always choose to let program decide if the option is avalable, being some programs dont support some of the setting you can choose on control panels both ati and nvidia

Thanks so much for all the responses. But the game still does not work. Old video card can no longer be there.
I have reconciled with the fact that my current PC configuration, this game will not work.:(:(:(:(

I any case please send the dxdiag to our support team (support@1cpublishing.eu). Your graphic card definitely can handle King's Bounty and I'm sure the game should run on your PC.
