Top tank MG?

How do you add a top MG to tank that doesnt already have one? I would like to know how to get a MG on top of the KV1....if there was one on that tank id love it forever because its got waaay better armor then the T34

i don't know if the GEM editor have tools to do that but when i make something that i need to add for a tank or anything i use (Autodesk 3ds Max) is what i use to add what i make for a mods.

I surely dont have that 3ds Max thing nor would I know what to do w/ it even if I did lolz.

Next is to figure out how to swap turrets....ive been messing w/ GSM2 mod in the editor and saw the A43 Black Prince and M36B1 Slugger. Both look like they just simply switched turrets. A43 (Comet Turret/Churchill Hull) M36B1 (Slugger Turret/M4A1 Sherman Hull). What files get moved to where for that? Ive been messing around in the entity files wehre u can edit tank armor/speed/inventories and what not. I made a futile attempt to swap theKV85 Turret for the T34/85 turret and it was fail lol

i don't recommend for you to mess around if you don't know what you are doing.

but if you do that i recommend using a mods.

i upload all the gun is about 109mb but i compress it in RAR so is only 21mb

i hope you know how to add them in the editor if not let me know.

Lolz, nope, dont know how to get them to show up in the editor...haha. I thought it was as easy as putting the -weapon file along side the -vehicle file in the entity folder but they didnt show up. Or does it only show up in the editor w/ your Modern Combat mod activated?

I can see the weapons in game under the -Weapons tab but when I put them on the ground and pick them up they show up as red ! in a red circle.

The weapon when I place it looks as normal......Then when I pick it up w/ my Soldier it looks like

I might have an idea though...in the Editor you knwo how you have that list on the right that has all your options and stuff to put on the map

in that inventory tab is another weapons tab w/ all the regular game guns and yours arent there....so thats my guess as to why I am not seeing them as normal weapons in the inventory...but idk, im prolly wrong haha

I saw an email w/ the subject Editor....however I didnt read it b/c I usually dont get anything important in my Email so I just select all, delete....It wasnt until I was right in the middle of pressing the Delete button that I saw the editor title and was like oh crap......but, if u were not who sent that then its all good, otherwise...yeah, im a putz

Well i maked a 20-minutes movie in GEM editor and a few Yugoslavian partisans missons,but no mods.I will try to learn that 3d Max somthing.

But i very much know mods are long work,and hard to make.

Lolz, my guess is also that its 3DS max thats used to make new skins for tanks and such? Ive used Corel Paintshop pro to make Aircraft skins for my Spitfire in IL2 and it worked like a charm

So I had been wondering if its possible to use COrel to also make a 6th Guards Tank Army skin for the T34/85 and KV1. Always liked that group's paint scheme w/ those white lines crossing over thier tank..

Yeah I watched that Heli vid on Youtube, looks nice =D. Im pretty sure id know how to make the skin...but what file are the skin files in to edit? in IL2 its as simple as going into the Skin/Paintscheme/Spitfire/Void.bmp and then in Corel u just edit it and save it agian as w/e u want and a .BMP at the end. But in MOW i cant find a similar path or file....meh

Weird....What was with the Forums the last like day or so? it changed to some new layout then back to this one....Anywho it was wierd.

With help from the DMS forums and such I was able to figure out how to make the Tank skin I was going for and it looks pretty decent but idk.

I didnt totally make that tank skin I only edited an existing one using Paint.NET.

To get them to work I placed the entity file in the inventory/-weapon folder then made a file in the Stuff/Smg folder with the name of a weapon, then went into the localization/desc put the gun name in there and it worked...pretty easy. Of course im using gun sounds from in game but it works :) Been messing with editing alot lately. Its fairly easy to edit stats and such as I first figured. Editing is tons of fun to lolz

WHEN and IF you are using other people´s material, make sure that you have the original authors permission to do so. And if they say No, respect their wish.

Since you haven´t posted any links etc and thus, hasn´t made it possible for anyone to download anything, I will let the thread stay "alive". However, ask for permission before you release anything.

And by the way, isn´t the Hummer the one from Black Terrorist Down? If so, then it is a (C)opyright protected model, which belongs to ARMA2 and that one you can´t use in any non-ARMA2 mod.

Since neither one of you have posted any download links, it´s fine with me. You do not need to remove anything this time (unless HrcAk47 demands it).

You chould though, go back and edit your messages and make it clear that the screenshots do show EFAE stuff instead of making people believe that you made it yourself.
