getting through the hatch

Hi i have just bought the game and installed it. However no matter what I try I can not get through the door. I have installed the patch, but it apparently makes no difference. I have read a couple of threads regarding this issue, but I'm not technically minded and I need some help on a very basic level. please somebody can you assist me. :(

It's a strange glitch (its cause is unclear). Reported solutions are:
1) Closing the door so it will push you inside;
2) Going through the door backwards;
3) Turning off (temporarily) antialiasing and postprocessing in the game options.

hi sneaksie, thanks for replying i have tried doing those 3 things and i am still outside in the freezing cold. any other suggestions...is it something to do with playing on vista? if I don't sort it out soon i can see this laptop being launched across the room along with the game :)

....still stuck outside....i can't believe i keep trying, please has ANYBODY got ANY other suggestions. :(

A long shot - try to turn physics in game settings on or off.
