Just watching one of my favorite shows, Wings Of The Luftwaffe, and it's giving high praises to the 190, claiming it was the 190's effectiveness that prompted high altitude Allied bombing as it was more than a match for Spits and other Allied low-altitude fighters.

In BOP I'm lucky to stay on a bandit's tail for half a turn without spinning like a chump. And it's not because I "don't know how to fly it". Let's just let it be known that I'm awesome. Hear me? Straight up ace. I know it's said time and time again, the shortcomings with the190 and the P-51, and all that...still love the game, I'm just saying it because I'm watching the show is all.

I also didn't know that the D series was just a Ju-88 bomber engine in a fighter plane. Crazy.

This has been gone over already but its a fair point. I dont know much about how a FW handles or its effectivness but in BoP they kinda suck. Of course some real skilled pilots can make them work but for the rest its a bit of a lame duck. The Bf109 in game is far superior in practically every department.

Yeah, totally. Just to reiterate, before I get flamed, as I said, I know it's gone over, I was just saying it because the show was on.

First off the 190 is simulated with wrong weight. Secondly, if the game modelled pilot fatigue, then the 190 would out turn a lot of planes - and it should certainly outturn a lot of planes at high speed.

The planes is just wrong all over, everybit as screwed up as the P51 is in game.

If you think those two planes aren't flying right from your experience with IL2 1946 - you are not the only ones to notice it.

More planes are being fixed. The fuel is adjusted for other aircraft as well. Let's just hope that's fixing enough...

I agree. Hope is all we have right now. I keep tryin to fly it anyway. Its fast as hell! It just wont turn, though! It takes half the map to turn around for another pass!!!! I won a game the other night with it, if you can believe it. One on one with a 109G-6. We opened with a head on pass and I got him! 1-0! I kept running the rest of the match and he couldn't catch me. I'd slow down so he could close some and keep his hope alive so he wouldn't quit on me and I'd lose the win. But I could walk away from him whenever I chose. Low altitude by the way. He commented after the match how fast it is. Last night I shot down 2 jets with it.

Strange, I find the FW190F dead slow. It can hardly get to 300mph in level flight using WEP.

I agree with pope the 190 is slow and doesn't accelerate as well as some of the other planes in the game with smaller engines
