Is there any way to unlock the B-17 if you don't play online? If that is the case, I am going to be extremely annoyed because I am in RSA and we get charged astronamical rates for network usage...

I suppose you have to play ranked to unlock stuff, yes?

I don't think I've ever seen a ranked game available to join, EVER lol :) Sure hope not! I'm always in the Player section!

no you dont ;). non ranked will do. So if you want, you can grind the unlocks with a friend

It does kinda draw down for people without the net, but the B17 isn't that great anyway. Somewhere I think it was House? Who said it sucked. I haven't gotten it yet, but have gone against them in my La-7, and tore them to pieces! So don't worry about it to much.

it doesn't SUCK, but it does have some MAJOR flaws that are VERY disappointing.

if you dont have online then its uselss to you anyway so your not missing out, if you DO have online then it is the best bomber in the game, in spite of its HUGE flaws.

Sorry, it has some major flaws. I still like shooting them down with the good ol' La-7!! :cool: Hopefully I get it soon. (That is, when my PS3 internet connection is back up!!!)

Would love to. But yet I both my 360 and PS3 are connected to the same net source. And I still have yet to buy my 360 version. But fear not, when you see a La-7 flying out of the sun with its cannons blazing. Don't be worried, I'll make it quick ;)

The day before yesterday, I played a capture the airfields match....since I suck at landing i decided to simply attack the enemy.

I downed 3 B17's with my G-6 and mad a 4th one crash, I also downed another 109 before they got me.

B-17's are prone to 3 and 9 O'clock attacks high and low.

No way, you're on PS3? I always assumed you were on XBox for some reason... What's your PSN ID? The same as here?

I'm trying to collect some sim players on my friends but I've only got a handful at the moment and they're rarely all on at the same time :(

I think the patch is fixing some of them.
