Shadow of the Past (What gives?)

Ok so I picked up the game and I've been playing it.

Now I've hit Shadow of the Past. I can't even make headway into this one.

If I build a wizard's guild and upgrade it to stop the demon guy from frying my base then I have lvl 1 wizards who can't stand up to the werewolves, and other level 10 and 15 bad guys who show up in the first 5 minutes of the mission.

If I build a ranger's guild and use them to defend against all the wolves when the demon guy pops in he kills them all.

If I build a Lord's tower, i can't afford any lords and the wolves and the demon guy eat my village

Clerics are like Wizards and Warriors don't fare well against the demon either.

How the hell am I supposed to even get more than 5 minutes into this mission? Up until this one it was fun and interesting... now I've apparently hit the FU mission.

This mission is really challenging, I used to build Wizards guild ASAP but didn't make mages at first part but made two cleric guilds and it was enough to heal all other heroes. And try to upgrade rogues guild fast, so they can stop the enemies effectively.

this mission is easy ;-)

place your wizards guild AS FAR AS POSSIBLE from your own castle somewhere near a wolves den(level 1 wizard fry wolves)

then make clerics ASAP
and try to get warriors ASAP
(only make 1 -2 wizard) rest should be priority after u got your level 2 wizard guild
